I see that Eucalyptus Platypus has a name change to Eucalyptus Utilus . But on Gardening Australia had the Coastal Moore as Eucalyptus as "Utilus . Just curious. Find these name changes very confusing.

Fantastic to see the concept of plants suitable for the soil type being promoted - rather than the mantra of soil amendments. Keep up the good work ANN.

I have heaps of this. The berries are yummo! And bonus I never water it 🙌🏼
I use it successfully as a low hedge. Very little maintenance and dark green welcome in summer. Mine enjoys dappled light
Will it tolerate clay soils
grows very easily from seed
They also have an after-taste of quinine level bitterness, tonnes of little rock hard seeds & are around 5mm in size or smaller.

Beautiful
It grows exceptionally well in limestone soils to - ours is a beast 1km from coast in Quindalup soil-type
I also have some of these in the garden. Incredibly hardy and they have grown to 2 metres - i cut them back before winter and they bounce back again once the warmer weather hits
